Nadieh Schoots will compete in IRRC Superbike this season; the 25 year old wants to focus more on road racing in 2017. In addition, she will be on the starting line for a handful of rounds of the BSB Superstock 1000 championship.
Nadieh has been active in the British championship the last few years, first with two seasons in the Ducati Cup, after which she stepped up to the strong Superstock 1000 class in 2016. In an interview with Dutch Motorsport last October, Schoots already told us about some of her plans for the coming season: she wants to switch her focus more to road racing.
To learn and gain experience on the road circuits, Schoots will compete in the International Road Race Championship (IRRC) in 2017. She will do this aboard a Kawasaki ZX10R in the Superbike class. The main focus for Schoots and her team will be this championship. In addition, the aim is to compete in a number of BSB Superstock 1000 rounds - and she's keen to race the North West 200, Southern 100, and Ulster GP. For the latter 3 events Nadieh is still looking for a team and bike.
The IRRC Championship will kick off the weekend of May 6th and 7th, at the Varsselring in Hengelo GLD (The Netherlands).
